Dr. Ramesh Babu is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery.

He is a renowned neurosurgeon with training in three continents, having trained in India, Germany and the United States. He has trained under the tutelage of Dr. M. Samii, understanding the special circumstances of skull base tumors, in Germany and Dr. Jannetta in Pennsylvania to understand treatment options available for atypical facial pain, trigeminal neuralgia and microvascular surgery.

He also trained with Dr. Sekhar specializing in skull based surgery. His training prepared him for specializing in conducting the intricate delicate surgery for skull base tumors, acoustic tumors, meningiomas and trigeminal neuralgia and facial pain.

In addition, he also conducts extensive surgery on the spine and has a busy surgical practice.
Dr. Babu has done extensive research in his special interest areas of skull base tumors and trigeminal neuralgia and is well known in the lecture circuit for the CME of the American Association of Physicians from India and on Indian television network on cable.

He has published many peer reviewed articles and has provided numerous book chapters in his specialty of skull base tumors and trigeminal neuralgia.
